Area : Health, Education & Humanitarian service. Type : Preventing, Care & Development Location : Jakarta, Surabaya, Pontianak, Medan, Nias. Impact : over 70,000 people helped (as of Nov 2005) Blood drive, Book drive, mobile clinics, disasters relief and community development program are some of the activities involving volunteers to reach the poor and the needy in Indonesia. The dedicated volunteers also organize events such as walk-a-thon to raise fund, by close to 3,000 volunteers, for sustaining the programs run by HOPE worldwide Indonesia. Instant health and humanitarian service (clothing, food, medication) provided to those experiences natural disaster, such as Jakarta Flooding in 2002, Tsunami in 2004 & Earthquake in 2005. Program include : Disaster Relief, Medical Clinic, Mobile Clinic, Play Therapy, Child Survival Center, Health & Hygiene Education, and Malaria Prevention & Treatment. |
