![]() That day, Timothy was excited. Early in the morning, he prepared himself, aided by a caretaker, to do a trial school at the Rhema En Cara Kindergarten School, in Sentul, Bogor. The trials were done three times, and included introduction to environment, adaptation with new activities, socialization with new friends, and introduction to the teachers. Timothy was excited doing these trials. All activities like drawing, and coloring attracted him. He could not wait to follow every activity at the Rhema En Cara Kindergarten School, although the school will actually start on July 2012. Timothy is four years old now and one of the children at Pelangi Kasih Orphanage run by HOPE Indonesia located in Sentul, Bogor. He has been there since he was born. Like other kids there, Timothy was raised under the loving care of the caretakers of the orphanage. Today, there are eight children in the orphanage, a five month baby boy, five toddlers aged 2.5 to 4 years old, and two kids aged 12 and 13 years old. The orphanage takes care all of their needs: their healthcare, education, security and love from the adults around them. Pelangi Kasih Orphanage is one of HOPE Worldwide Indonesia’s programs that accepts and takes care of unwanted children. For 12 years the orphanage has been taking care of 119 children, and 101 of them had been adopted through official adoption process. Timothy is one of the children that were not adopted, but they still have a family in the orphanage. Timothy does not know who his parents are, but he still gets opportunity to grow and develop in the loving environment of Pelangi Kasih Orphanage. |
